Nearly 1,000 trick-or-treaters show up at our house in Michigan every Halloween. Yes, one thousand. And we have exactly one rule: everyone gets candy. Kids, teenagers, adults, even doctoral students. If you knock, you get a treat.
A typical Halloween night at our front door.
This year, we’re bringing that same spirit to Ollivate, and the treats are even better than full-size candy bars. One of them is a $100 gift card.
Meet Olli’s BOO-st Your Brain, Ollivate’s Halloween weekend XP challenge. From Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1, SRNAs, RNs, and CRNAs go head to head on the leaderboard, earning XP while they study, and the learner on top walks away with real prizes.
The Challenge: Earn XP, Climb the Leaderboard
The BOO-st Your Brain XP Challenge is exactly what it sounds like. Play Ollivate all Halloween weekend, earn as much XP as you can, and climb the leaderboard.
Every question you answer, every lesson you complete, and every day you show up moves you up the board. The learner with the most XP by the end of the weekend takes the top spot.
The Prizes
The player with the most XP at the end of the weekend wins:
An Ollivate T-shirt
A $100 Visa gift card
Some serious bragging rights
Not a bad haul for a weekend of studying.
A Treat for Everyone: 10% Off with Code SPOOKY10
If you’re still playing the free version of Ollivate, now’s your chance to level up and not run out of hearts. We’re offering 10% off Ollivate Premium during Halloween weekend only. Just use code SPOOKY10 at checkout.9m
Like the candy at our door, this one is for everyone, not just the top of the leaderboard.
Co-founder Dr. Joshua Olson, in full Halloween form.
When It Happens
The XP challenge and the SPOOKY10 discount are good for Halloween weekend only:
Friday, October 30 at 12:00 a.m. ET through Sunday, November 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Once Sunday night hits, both the challenge and the code turn back into a pumpkin.
How to Join
There’s nothing to sign up for. Just open Ollivate anytime during Halloween weekend and start earning XP. Your XP automatically counts toward the leaderboard.
If you don’t have Ollivate yet, this is the perfect weekend to start, and SPOOKY10 gets you 10% off Premium.
Why a Study Challenge on Halloween?
Because the best way to remember something is to keep coming back to it, and a little friendly competition makes that a lot more fun.
That is the whole idea behind Ollivate. We use game mechanics like XP, streaks, and leaderboards to turn studying for boards and staying sharp in practice into something you actually want to do. A Halloween weekend challenge is just one more reason to show up, and every extra question you answer is one more rep toward knowing your material cold. That’s what Game Your Brain® is all about.
There’s live music, too. Dr. Olson plays for the trick-or-treat crowd.
The Bottom Line
BOO-st Your Brain runs Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1. Earn XP, climb the leaderboard, and compete for an Ollivate T-shirt and a $100 Visa gift card, and grab 10% off Premium with code SPOOKY10 while you’re at it.
P.S. At our house, everyone gets candy. At Ollivate, everyone gets a chance to level up.
Open Ollivate this weekend and start climbing. Happy Halloween! Learn more at ollivate.com.
